Hello, I’m Andrea Laubenthal. This is my 2nd year at Humboldt Middle School. I teach 8th Grade Language Arts and teach in the Success Center.
I grew up on an acreage between Fort Dodge and Humboldt with my parents and younger sister who is six years younger than me. I attended St. Paul Lutheran School and St. Edmond High School. I attended college at UNI and did my student teaching in Pocahontas which is where I met my husband. I graduated from UNI in December of 2006 and began my teaching career at Fort Dodge Senior High School where I taught for 5 years before coming to Humboldt Middle School.
My husband, Adam, and I were married in 2009. Adam is from the Gilmore City- Bradgate area and is a farmer. He raises cattle along with farming with some of his family. In April 2012, we were blessed with our twin daughters, Adalyn and Alayna. They are the joy of our lives and keep us very busy at home!
In my spare time, I like to be with my family, both immediate family and extended family. I love to be outside, especially at the lake or out on the farm riding 4-wheelers. I also like to cook if I have the time and I love to read. During the late fall and winter I sing with Humboldt Community Chorus. I am a very proud Nebraska Cornhuskers and an Iowa State Football fan!
I am looking forward to an exciting year as a Wildcat!
