1. Teacher will allow 10 minutes for students to complete last page and a half of analogy packet. When students are done, teacher will read correct answers while students check their own packets. Students then need to calculate the total analogies that they got correct on the entire packet. Teacher will then share number cut-offs with students.
2. Teacher will repeatedly orally read dictation sentence #59 to students as they copy down in their yellow spiral notebooks. When students are done, teacher will write sentence correctly on the Smartboard while students correct.
3. Teacher will discuss with class that "speaking skills" includes more than just voice. It also includes body language. Teacher will share first minute or two of several Youtube videos of "poor" speakers. After watching videos, students need to respond in Kidblog.org as to what they noticed and what was distracting that the speakers did.
4. Grammar mini-lesson: Changing passive voice into active voice. Students need to pull up worksheet in Google Classroom from Monday on active/passive voice. Today, students need to write each passive sentence as an active sentence underneath each sentences that applies. Students then need to resubmit.
